Program Components
The Magnolia Creek treatment program is comprised of Four Main Components: Psychological, Medical, Nutritional and Spiritual.
Psychological
Psychological treatment is comprised of group and individual therapy sessions aimed at stilling the mind and ministering to the soul. Our experienced therapists and staff work together to provide a safe, therapeutic environment that allows our residents to deeply explore the issues and experiences that contributed to the development of their eating disorder and to challenge thoughts and behaviors that prevent them from living their lives fully and freely.
Medical
The medical complications of eating disorders are serious and often life threatening. Medical treatment is aimed at healing the physical and neurological symptoms of the eating disorder. Medical treatment is provided by our medical director, psychiatrist, director of nursing, and nursing staff. Our experienced medical team works to ensure the safety of the residents by providing ongoing medical care, monitoring, and assessment to ensure their physical well-being as they move toward recovery.
Nutritional
Nutritional treatment targets the dietary needs of Magnolia Creek residents. All residents meet with the dietitian during their first week for a formal Nutritional Assessment. Throughout the program, nutritional treatment is provided through individual sessions, group sessions, meals, physical activities, and outings.
Spiritual
At Magnolia Creek we recognize that spirituality is an integral part of the recovery process, and as such we include a spiritual component to our program. We are sensitive to our residents' faith traditions and respect their religious backgrounds in their individualized treatment, integrating religious outings into their schedule if requested. We also offer specific experiences, including a spirituality group, designed to help residents spiritually reconnect and reawaken.
